The practice
We run statutory compliance for Indian companies — built by the people who undo it when it goes wrong.
EPF Buddy is a Mumbai-based EPF and labour-law practice, working since 2019. We represent employees whose provident fund is stuck with the EPFO, and we run the filing side for the companies that never want to be the reason it gets stuck.
What we run
- EPF & ESIC registration and monthly filing
- Professional Tax (PTEC/PTRC) and Labour Welfare Fund, state by state
- Shop & Establishment, CLRA and BOCW registrations
- Statutory, POSH and labour-law compliance retainers

Why this practice exists
We did not plan a compliance practice. We arrived at one after roughly eleven hundred EPF recovery cases, because the same finding kept turning up at the bottom of them.
Almost none of those claims were stuck because the employee had done anything wrong. They were stuck because of a joining date entered incorrectly. An exit never marked. A name that never matched across two records. A contractor whose PF was deducted and never deposited.
None of it was malicious, and almost none of it was noticed at the time. Usually the person who filed it had left the company years before the employee found out — and by then it had become somebody else's money and somebody else's problem.
We know exactly which filings turn into those cases, because we have spent years undoing them. That is the whole argument for handing us the filings instead.
We read a register the way an inspector will, not the way a vendor files it.
We know which errors surface years later, not just which ones fail validation today.
When a notice arrives, it is not the first one we have answered.
What we hold ourselves to.
Three rules that decide what we will and will not say to you.
We only promise what we do
No guaranteed turnaround we do not control, no invented service tiers, no fixed quote before we have seen your establishment. Where an outcome depends on a department or a contractor, we say so at the start rather than explain it at the end.
Scope first, fee second, work third
We do not publish a price list because compliance does not have one. The scope is written against your headcount, your states and your registrations; the fee follows from it; both are agreed before anything begins.
We tell you what the last handler did not
Unfiled returns, lapsed registrations, notices left unanswered, contractor gaps. Taking over a file means reporting what is actually in it, even when that makes an uncomfortable first conversation.
What we do not do.
A firm that claims everything specialises in nothing. We stay inside statutory registrations, filings, registers and the defence of them. When what you need sits outside that, we will say so on the first call rather than learn it on your file.
- Payroll processing or salary disbursement
- Accounting, bookkeeping or income-tax filing
- Recruitment, staffing or HR advisory
Key Takeaway
Do not take our word for it
Our reviews sit on Google, where we cannot edit them, and the case files are published in full on the main site — including the ones that started as somebody's filing mistake.
